Small Town Creatives: A Small Town Big Dreams Evening

February 7, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Join us for the relaunch of the Small Town Creatives meetup in a new format and location. This new series will feature local and national creatives presenting topical discussions with informal networking before and after the talks. The events (unless otherwise noted) will take place at the City Center Theater at Elm Street Cultural Arts Village. Entry to the event is $10 per person, students free with ID at the door. Money raised by entry fees will be invested in future STC events.

7:30pm – Courtney Myers – Recent Grad Spotlight – Courtney is a highly talented recent grad of SCAD – See her astonishing work and hear her hopes, dreams and fears as she embarks on her career.

 

7:40pm – Beth Dryden – With degrees from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NY and Georgia Southern University and a 25 year career in design, you will not want to miss Beth’s story of pursuing her side gig passion, Bernice London Leather Goods and turning it into her full-time pursuit.

 

8:00pm – Tom Cox – Graduate of Reinhardt University and the University of Georgia. After eight years in-house at The Coca-Cola Company, Tom has gained recognition in his own studio here in Woodstock creating graphic art and brand identities for brands like Reformation Brewery, City of Woodstock, Holiday Inn and more… Come hear about his encouraging story, and engaging process for creating brand identity.
